Road Warrior Staffing is hiring experienced CDL A Drivers in the Chicago, Illinois area for local and dedicated driving opportunities.

Drivers must have a minimum of 2 years of CDL A driving experience and may have the opportunity to choose between different driving assignments based on their experience, availability, and preferred schedule.

Current opportunities include:

W-2 Local CDL A Driver

Two W-2 hourly positions are available for drivers working locally in the Chicago area or making same-day trips to Indianapolis.

Pay: $28–$32 per hour, depending on experience.

One of the W-2 positions is dedicated to intermodal freight, making previous intermodal experience a plus.

1099 Lease Driver – Day Cab

A separate opportunity is available for a 1099 Lease Driver operating a day cab on dedicated overnight mail runs.

The typical route begins in Champaign, Illinois at approximately 6:00 PM, travels to Forest Park, Illinois for an approximately 11:00 PM delivery, and then returns to the Champaign area for the following day.

This is a year-round operation that runs every day.

The estimated driver take-home pay is approximately $1,600–$1,800 per week, with additional details available for candidates interested in the PM/night schedule.

Duties

W-2 Local CDL A Driver Duties
Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle.
Complete local Chicago-area routes.
Make same-day trips between Chicago and Indianapolis when assigned.
Transport and deliver freight safely and efficiently.
Complete dedicated intermodal assignments when applicable.
Perform required vehicle inspections.
Maintain a safe and professional driving record.
Follow applicable DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
Communicate with dispatch and customers as necessary.
Maintain assigned equipment and report maintenance concerns.
1099 Lease Driver Duties
Safely operate the assigned day cab.
Complete dedicated overnight mail runs.
Depart from Champaign, IL at approximately 6:00 PM.
Make scheduled delivery to Forest Park, IL at approximately 11:00 PM.
Return to the Champaign area following delivery.
Complete round-trip routes as scheduled.
Maintain reliable and on-time service.
Perform required vehicle inspections.
Follow applicable DOT and safety requirements.
Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
Valid Class A CDL.
Ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.
Ability to meet applicable carrier and insurance requirements.
Clean and acceptable driving history.
Ability to comply with applicable DOT regulations.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
W-2 Position

Candidates interested in the W-2 opportunities should be comfortable with:

Local Chicago driving
Same-day Chicago-to-Indianapolis routes
Potential intermodal operations
Daytime/local driving schedules as assigned

Previous intermodal experience is a plus, particularly for the dedicated intermodal position.

1099 Lease Driver

Candidates interested in the 1099 opportunity must be comfortable with:

Night/PM driving
