Nephrology Physician Assistant (PA)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 Base Salary + $5,000 Bonus (Higher bonus potential based on experience)
Experience: 2+ Years of Nephrology Experience Required
We are seeking an experienced Nephrology Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for patients with kidney disease. This role offers a mix of clinic care, hospital rounding, nephrology consultations, and dialysis management.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with CKD, AKI, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions.
- Perform inpatient nephrology consultations and hospital rounding.
- Conduct dialysis rounding and manage acute and chronic dialysis patients.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on kidney disease, medications, diet, and dialysis.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, physicians, nurses, and dialysis teams.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Current state Physician Assistant license.
- NCCPA certification.
- Graduate of an accredited PA program.
- Valid DEA registration.
- 2+ years of nephrology experience required.
- Inpatient, outpatient, and dialysis experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- BLS/ACLS preferred.
