Material Handler 2nd Shift

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Material Handler I's for a contract opportunity in Cleveland, MS.

*6 month possible temp to perm contract position*

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

•Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required.

•Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.

•Able to complete documentation legibly and per procedure.

•Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

•Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.

•Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Perform manufacturing processes for the production of plastic pour bottles.

•Perform and document line clearances.

•Verify correctness of material.

•Load empty gaylords on production line to be filled with plastic pour bottles.

•Pack plastic pour bottles into empty gaylords, cover and ensure proper labeling of product.

•Inspect bottle and gasket assembly.

•Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.

•Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Ability to bend, stoop and climb ladders.

•Ability to stand for long periods of time.

•Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.

•Ability to lift above the shoulder.

•Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:

•Full-Time-2nd Shift 03:00pm-11:00pm

•Positions will require mandatory Overtime. Will be working 6-7 days a week. Overtime can be in the form of weekly OT not just weekend.
