School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Evanston, Illinois

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with students, faculty, and staff in a dynamic educational environment, supporting approximately 500 students at each location.

Your on-site presence will be key in delivering top-quality care and health education, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Requirements and Skills:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• RECENT experience within a school setting is required
• Proficiency in providing nursing services in a school environment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently across two campuses
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff
• Comfortable commuting between campuses located on S Francisco Ave and S Homan Ave in Chicago
• Strong organizational skills to balance schedules and caseloads

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students and staff on-site
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and develop care plans as needed
• Administer medications and manage chronic conditions following physician directives and state regulations
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote student health and wellness
• Support public health initiatives, screenings, and immunization compliance
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district health policies
