Job Description
Seeking a dedicated Special Education professional to serve as an IEP Facilitator for an onsite, full-time contract opportunity. This rewarding role supports schools by providing expertise in special education, ensuring IEP processes are fully compliant, and empowering staff and families throughout each step.
As an IEP Facilitator, you will collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to coordinate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Manifestation Determination meetings. Your leadership will help maintain high standards for compliance and student-centered planning, ensuring all timelines are met and staff are equipped with current knowledge and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, lead, and document IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings, ensuring required personnel and families are included and well-informed.
- Monitor timelines for reevaluations and annual IEP reviews, ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and district mandates.
- Provide training and guidance to school staff to ensure accurate and timely IEP development and compliance.
- Collaborate with school teams to identify and implement interventions, modifications, and professional development needs for student success.
- Keep leadership informed on patterns or issues that may necessitate updates in curriculum, procedures, or staff training.
- Deliver direct support in developing effective staff development programs based on identified needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by special education leadership.
Qualifications:
- Background in special education, preferably with teaching or coordination experience.
- Deep understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to conduct engaging staff trainings and foster collaborative environments.
