Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $21.19 – $32.85/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a Family Medicine practice with dedicated pediatric support. The Medical Assistant II will provide both clinical and administrative support, helping prepare patients and exam rooms, assisting providers with patient care, performing routine clinical procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, check in, and assist patients throughout their visit.
- Prepare patients, examination rooms, and equipment.
- Obtain and document vital signs and report concerns to providers.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Collect and process routine laboratory specimens.
- Schedule appointments and procedures and handle patient calls.
- Register new patients and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide patients with instructions and preparation information.
- Assist with billing, insurance forms, and other documentation.
- Maintain aseptic technique and properly sterilize/disinfect equipment.
- Clean, wrap, and autoclave instruments.
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
- Support providers and the healthcare team with additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as one of the following:
- CMA – AAMA
- RMA – AMT
- CCMA with required 12-month apprenticeship program
- Pediatric experience is REQUIRED and must be clearly listed on the resume.
- AHA BLS certification is REQUIRED.
- Previous outpatient, office, or ambulatory care experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
