Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy Family Medicine clinic with dedicated pediatric support. The CMA will assist providers with clinical and administrative duties while helping ensure smooth patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and communicate patient concerns to providers.
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Perform injections, simple diagnostic tests, specimen collection, and blood draws as assigned.
  • Handle patient calls, schedule appointments and procedures, and coordinate with nursing staff and providers when needed.
  • Register new patients, maintain medical records, and assist with billing and insurance forms.
  • Instruct patients on preparation for procedures and follow-up care.
  • Maintain aseptic technique, sterilize/disinfect equipment, and properly dispose of contaminated materials.
  • Clean, wrap, and autoclave instruments while maintaining a safe and organized clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA certification required
  • Previous pediatric experience required
  • Previous office/outpatient/ambulatory care experience strongly preferred
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and patient-care skills
