Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor
Location: Bartow, FL
Employment Type: Direct Hire  IN PERSON
Pay: Commensurate with Experience
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor to oversee safety and environmental programs for a large manufacturing and warehouse facility in Bartow, FL.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing safety, OSHA compliance, employee training, incident investigation, and warehouse safety. This individual will work closely with employees, supervisors, and management to promote a strong safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain workplace safety and environmental programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments throughout the manufacturing and warehouse facility.
  • Identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses, and incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and help prevent recurring incidents.
  • Develop and conduct employee safety training and orientations.
  • Maintain safety records, training documentation, and required reports.
  • Support programs involving PPE, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, forklifts, machine safety, and emergency response.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor.
  • Work closely with supervisors and management to improve safety performance.
  • Assist with environmental compliance, chemical handling, waste management, and related programs.
Qualifications
  • Previous EHS, Environmental Health & Safety, or Safety Supervisor experience required.
  • Manufacturing and/or warehouse safety experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety training and workplace inspections.
  • Experience investigating accidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • OSHA 30 certification or other safety certifications preferred.
  • Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, building products, or a similar manufacturing environment is a plus.
