Step into a dynamic school-based setting and make a real difference in students’ communication skills as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant! This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience working with children in various educational environments near Jacksonville, Florida.

You’ll collaborate directly with school teams at one assigned site, supporting pre-K through elementary-aged students with diverse needs. Your expertise will be valued as you provide direct speech services tailored to each student’s IEP.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
  • At least 2 years of experience as an SLPA, including a minimum of 6 months in a school-based setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to different caseloads and student abilities
  • Completion of required fingerprinting and credentialing; familiarity with the AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA badge process is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech interventions following goals developed by supervising SLPs
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and session notes
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
  • Flexibly respond to the needs of elementary or specialized center school settings
  • Support and encourage students’ communication growth in both group and one-on-one sessions

This full-time contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through late May 2027, offering steady hours in a structured environment Monday through Friday.
