Shift: Nights, every other weekend

Requirements\n

\n
• 1–2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
\n
• Active Michigan RN license
\n
• AHA BLS required
\n
• NIHSS required or willingness to obtain before starting
\n
• Must be willing to float to other Med/Surg units, ICUs, and ED waiting areas
\n
• Local rates apply to candidates living within 50 miles of the facility
\n

Unit Details\n

This 40-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit cares for patients with strokes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory neurological disorders, spinal surgeries, laminectomies, and spinal fusions. The unit includes six step-down/telemetry beds, six bariatric beds, and a four-bed Neuro Monitoring Unit for seizure patients ages five and older.

• Night ratio: Approximately 1:5–6

• No LPN coverage on nights
\n
• Charting: Epic
\n
• Medication system: Pyxis
