Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring ARRT and 2+ years of experience in cath lab and EP procedures.
Details
- Short term acute care, Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
- Department covers cath lab, EP, and IR with primary role in cath lab and EP
- Performs LHC/RHC, PCI, STEMI intervention, temporary pacer and IABP insertion, Swan-Ganz catheterization, EP implants, ablations, and peripheral angiography
- Uses Epic for charting
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call required every 5 days including weekends
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required in specialty
- ARRT and ARRT R required; ARRT CI, ARRT VI preferred
- ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred
- CCI RCIS or RCES, or CVI certification required (only one needed)
- License required if applicable
- 1 reference required for consideration
- Skilled in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience scrubbing and maintaining sterile field as room circulator
- Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and ultrasound
- Familiarity with PACS system

- Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and peripheral/vascular procedures
- Works in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and IR settings
- Scrubs provided
- Free parking as part of a larger health system
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID booster required except for religious or medical exemption
- Local candidates not accepted; candidates must live more than 75 miles from the hospital site
- Returning staff must be gone at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
