Location: Mitchell, South Dakota

Start Date: 08-05-2026

End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations to identify patient needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
  • Provide skilled therapy services that improve communication and swallowing function
  • Document all services accurately and in compliance with regulations and facility standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families for optimal outcomes
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (Master's degree)
  • Current state SLP license in South Dakota
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
  • Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Passion for making a difference in patients' lives
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
  • Expertise in speech, language, and swallowing therapy
  • Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
