Job Description
Build, repair, and keep product moving—your impact matters here

Our mission is simple: help people see more and be more. As a world leader spanning 150+ countries, we design, manufacture, and deliver vision solutions—lenses like Varilux, Crizal, Eyezen, Stellest, and Transitions; frames including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol, and Oliver Peoples; and retail experiences through Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters, Target Optical, and leading e-commerce. Our supply chain blends centralized frame production with a deeply connected network of prescription labs and finishing centers. Technology drives us; innovation unites us. Be part of a 200,000-strong team shaping the future. See our latest updates on LinkedIn.

Your challenge

On day one, you’ll help ensure our distribution equipment runs flawlessly. One moment you’ll troubleshoot a conveyor fault; the next, you’ll machine a small part, weld a bracket, and verify everything with a quick calibration of scanners and cameras. You’ll navigate PLC interactions and support Intelligrated and Beumer sortation systems so orders keep flowing. You’ll also pitch in with meeting room setups, and when needed, roll up your sleeves for painting, plumbing, lighting fixes, and routine cleaning. Every test of the fire system—carefully performed and documented—adds to the safety of the team.

Core responsibilities
  • Offer shift coverage to maintain uptime—troubleshoot and repair as issues arise.
  • Perform fabrication, assembly, and welding projects to support equipment reliability.
  • Resolve mechanical breakdowns on facility and material handling equipment.
  • Calibrate scanners and cameras; work with PLCs; support all aspects of Intelligrated and Beumer sortation equipment.
  • Assist with setup and teardown for company meetings and events.
  • Contribute to general building maintenance: painting, cleaning, basic construction, plumbing, and lighting repair.
  • Manage fire system operation and testing, including complete and accurate recordkeeping.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Experience or training in welding and fabrication.
  • Hands-on background in basic facility repair and maintenance.
  • Track record of working effectively on a maintenance team.
  • Mechanical repair strengths paired with introductory electrical knowledge.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Proven welding/fabrication abilities.
  • Safety-first mindset with neat, organized work habits in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to climb and work at elevated heights.
  • Comfort using a computer to check email, order parts, and handle basic Word/Excel tasks.
Preferred profile
  • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of related experience.
