Job Description

Step into a cleanroom where precision protects animal health. As an Aseptic Filling Technician on our biologics manufacturing team, you’ll help transform carefully prepared vaccine formulations into finished, high-quality products. You’ll work hands-on with specialized equipment, uphold aseptic technique, and support a team that thrives on doing things the right way—every time.

A day in the cleanroom

You gown up in Tyvek, verify line readiness, and configure filling equipment. After executing sterile connections and environmental checks, you run multiple fill lines for different product presentations. You’ll help load freeze dryers when applicable, support the lyophilization (freeze-drying) cycle, and complete final sealing with aluminum caps. Throughout the shift, you capture every step in cGMP documentation and collaborate closely with teammates and adjacent departments to keep quality, safety, and schedule aligned.

Your impact
  • Set up, operate, and disassemble vaccine filling systems for multiple formats.
  • Apply aseptic processing methods and cleanroom behaviors in a regulated environment.
  • Operate portable and fixed production equipment while maintaining sterile conditions.
  • Load freeze dryers and assist with lyophilization; perform final capping/sealing.
  • Safely handle equipment and utilities, including steam-involved processes.
  • Complete accurate batch records, follow SOPs, and meet site/regulatory standards.
  • Manage materials and inventory with care and accuracy.
  • Work closely with a small, focused team and partner across functions.
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication (written and verbal).
  • Comfort following detailed procedures in a highly regulated setting.
  • Willingness to work a 3rd-shift schedule and occasional weekends.
Preferred
  • Post-secondary education in science or related discipline.
  • Solid math, science, and computer aptitude.
  • Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, pharmaceutical/biotech, animal health, or other regulated operations.
What you’ll gain
  • Hands-on exposure to vaccine manufacturing and aseptic technique.
  • Training with specialized cleanroom equipment and processes.
  • Development in GMP documentation, lyophilization, and production operations.
  • A collaborative environment where your work directly supports animal health.
Physical and work environment

This is an on-the-floor production role in a controlled cleanroom and manufacturing area. You will:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Wear required PPE, including Tyvek gowns and a respirator.
  • Work in areas with varying temperatures.
  • Frequently reach overhead; bend, stoop, push, pull, grip, and handle equipment.
  • Perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
  • Routinely lift and carry 5–25 pounds.
  • Work a 40-hour week with overtime as needed.
Additional skills that stand out
  • Industrial construction awareness
  • Building incentive-based rates for production
  • Food and beverage manufacturing familiarity
  • Shipping/receiving and warehouse operations
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Blending and weighing raw materials
  • General maintenance and repair aptitude
  • Exposure to automotive manufacturing systems
  • Excellent communication skills

Ready to build valuable technical skills while making vaccines that matter? We’d love to hear from you.
