Radiology Tech – MRI Tech needed for a travel assignment in Burlington, VT. Start date 09/03/2026 for 6 weeks. Weekly pay range $3,328–$3,484. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift is 3x12 Night shifts. Work setting: hospital-based imaging department. This assignment requires no on-call, with 1–2 weekends per month, and a schedule that must remain flexible. The role emphasizes MRI workflows on Philips systems within a teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Philips MRI systems to acquire diagnostic MR images according to orders, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
- Properly screen patients for MRI contraindications, assess claustrophobia risk, and position patients to obtain prescribed sequences
- Monitor patients throughout the exam, respond to patient needs, and manage contrast administration as directed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including MRI safety, infection control, and radiation safety standards where applicable
- Collaborate with radiologists and other technologists; verify orders in Epic and document procedures and findings accurately
- Maintain clean, stocked, and ready MRI suite; assist with equipment checks, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
- Adhere to department policies regarding scheduling, patient flow, and handling of emergent or urgent imaging needs
Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT license; MR advanced licensure required
- BLS required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) accepted; Phillips experience is required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex hospital setting and maintain professionalism on a multidisciplinary team
Certifications
- BLS
- ARRT or ARMRIT license; MR advanced licensure
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency)
- Philips MRI experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years
