Our client, a growing CPA firm with a collaborative culture, is seeking an Audit Associate to strengthen financial integrity and support growth.This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients across a variety of industries while developing strong technical and professional skills.

Position Summary

The Assurance Auditor will participate in the planning and execution of financial statement audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong analytical skills who is committed to delivering quality work and building trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held companies, nonprofit organizations, and other entities.
  • Assist in planning assurance engagements, including risk assessments and internal control evaluations.
  • Prepare and review audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze financial statements and investigate variances or unusual transactions.
  • Test internal controls and substantive account balances.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to engagement leaders.
  • Collaborate with clients to obtain information and resolve audit-related inquiries.
  • Ensure engagements are completed in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with special projects and consulting engagements as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1+ years of public accounting experience, preferably in assurance/audit.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with audit software and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
