Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Medical-Surgical nursing care to patients on assigned units.

  • Assess patient conditions, document findings, and escalate changes promptly.

  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.

  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

  • Develop and update individualized care plans aligned with patient goals.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to accelerate patient recovery.

  • Identify and pursue professional development opportunities for career growth.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

  • Maintain high visibility of work activities using unit dashboards and metrics.

  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.

  • Demonstrate accountability for personal performance within a team-based environment.

  • Utilize nursing pipelines and territory insights to inform care delivery planning.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid licensure in the state.

  • Minimum 2 years Medical-Surgical RN experience on inpatient units.

  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and escalation skills.

  • Ability to administer medications per protocol and monitor adverse events.

  • Commitment to regulatory compliance and hospital policies.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or determined by facility policy.

  • Proficiency with electronic health records and unit dashboards for metrics.

  • Evidence of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong communication skills to educate patients/families and discharge planning.

  • Demonstrated initiative for professional development and career growth.
