Position Summary

The Retail Associate supports daily retail operations while delivering exceptional service to guests and customers. This role assists with sales, merchandising, inventory management, store presentation, and customer engagement. Successful candidates are friendly, dependable, customer-focused, and committed to creating memorable shopping experiences that reflect the World Equestrian Center brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service from arrival through checkout.

• Assist customers with product selection, purchases, and general inquiries.

• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process transactions.

• Promote products and support sales goals through outstanding service and product knowledge.

• Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floors and displays.

• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management activities.

• Receive, unpack, and organize incoming merchandise shipments.

• Fulfill customer orders, including phone and online orders, accurately and efficiently.

• Assist in maintaining store standards, policies, and operating procedures.

• Resolve customer concerns professionally or escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.

• Support special events, retail promotions, and seasonal merchandising initiatives.

• Collaborate with team members to create a positive and productive work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Professional, positive, and guest-focused attitude.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Preferred

• Previous retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.

• Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Knowledge of merchandising and inventory practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift merchandise as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.

• Ability to work in a retail environment with frequent guest interaction.
