Job Description
A day in the life

Step onto the floor, review the day’s priorities, and get parts moving. You’ll begin by checking customer sales orders alongside manufacturing and engineering work orders, then pulling and staging the right components with speed and accuracy. As you work, you’ll label each order properly and use RF scanners and computer systems to record every material movement and transaction.

Midday often brings momentum: packing and preparing shipments according to company procedures, then processing both small-parcel and LTL consignments. You’ll operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers safely to move, load, and organize materials. When inbound items arrive, you’ll help receive, stock, and put them away in the correct locations.

Throughout the shift, you’ll keep inventory tight—performing cycle counts, assisting with physical inventories, and troubleshooting discrepancies with the right stakeholders. If materials run short, you’ll alert supervisors and production planners right away. You’ll also coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Customer Service to keep orders on track, expedite parts through the build process, and load finished goods for timely departure.

Before wrap-up, you’ll complete required paperwork, coach new teammates when needed, and verify quality standards so each order leaves accurate and ready.
