Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) – East Moline, IL

Avento Health is recruiting a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based residential settings in East Moline, Illinois.

This position is a strong fit for professionals with experience in IDD/DD services, residential programs, case management, service coordination, program supervision, or Direct Support Professional (DSP) leadership who meet the education and experience requirements for QIDP work.

The QIDP coordinates person-centered services, completes required assessments and documentation, supports and trains direct-care staff, monitors service quality, and works closely with guardians and interdisciplinary team members.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in a human-services or other qualifying related field
• At least 1 year of directly related professional experience
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and complete required records on time
• Ability to understand and implement individualized goals, interventions, and support plans

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Professionals with backgrounds in IDD services, residential services, case management, service coordination, community-based programs, program supervision, or DSP leadership are encouraged to apply if they meet the education and experience requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and monitor person-centered supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Complete annual assessments, Personal Emergency Preparedness Plans (PEPPs), consents, Implementation Strategies, and other required documentation.
• Monitor individual goals and service plans to ensure supports are being implemented appropriately.
• Train and support Direct Support Professionals on Implementation Strategies, documentation requirements, and individual needs.
• Monitor residential documentation for completeness and accuracy and provide coaching or retraining when needed.
• Conduct QIDP audits at assigned residential homes.
• Collaborate with guardians, Independent Service Coordinators, behavior analysts, nurses, supervisors, DSPs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with new DSP training and ongoing staff development.
• Support individuals with appointments, urgent-care needs, or other situations when assigned.
• Respond to program needs and crisis situations while maintaining timely and accurate documentation.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time, community-based position supporting individuals in residential settings in and around East Moline.

Work hours are assigned based on program needs. Some flexibility is required to respond to emergency or urgent situations when necessary.

The position involves travel between assigned residential locations and may include supporting individuals who experience challenging or aggressive behaviors.

Mileage reimbursement is available for approved work-related travel.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to obtain required competencies or certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration within established timeframes.
