Job Description
Are you an RN who is passionate about behavioral health and helping people achieve greater stability, independence, and quality of life? As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) with Hope Network, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while providing compassionate, recovery-focused care to individuals receiving psychiatric services in the Flint community.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate psychiatric and medical care. You’ll use your clinical expertise to support medication management, monitor individual needs, provide education, and advocate for the people we serve.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide compassionate psychiatric and medical nursing care across assigned programs.
- Partner with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care.
- Support medication management, including monitoring effectiveness, response, and potential concerns.
- Assess and respond to changes in an individual's physical and behavioral health needs.
- Provide nursing interventions, education, follow-up, and ongoing support.
- Build trusting relationships with individuals while promoting recovery, independence, and wellness.
- Apply trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered approaches to care.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, providers, and community partners to support continuity of care.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and communicate important changes to the care team.
- Advocate for individuals and help ensure they have access to appropriate medical and psychiatric services.
Anticipated Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
On-call availability required, including nights, weekends, or holidays as assigned
What You'll Bring
Required:
- Active Michigan RN license in good standing.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented care, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Trauma-Informed Care, Seeking Safety, and Family Psychoeducation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and meet documentation deadlines.
- Comfort using technology, electronic health records, Microsoft Office Suite, and other electronic systems.
- Demonstrated professionalism, emotional maturity, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
Preferred:
- 4 yrs. of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
