X Ray Tech - PRN

JOB SUMMARY

The X-Ray Technician will provide quality patient care and customer service.  They will radiograph each patient with speed, efficiency and compassion following FOA’s basic policies and procedures.  

Schedule:

Thursdays from 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform digital x-ray exams on patients  
• Utilize collimation on every image and filtration when necessary 
• Follows all physician protocols 
• Obtains order from the PACs system worklist 
• Select appropriate exam in X-Ray system 
• Prepares and positions patient for X-Ray exam 
• Ability to work both independently and as a team-player 
• Must be flexible with schedule 
• Document and maintain daily patient X-Ray exams as required by the State of Florida rules and regulations 
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment 
• Maintain Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities 
• Burn CD’s 
• All other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Xray Tech or BMO current Florida license required 
• High school graduate or GED equivalent 
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology 
• Working knowledge of proper radiography technique including positioning and body habits 
• Exhibit skills in using ga personal computer, including software and internet, EMR and PM systems 
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS  

• Prefer 6 months to 1 year related on the job experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
