Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on client needs

Pay: $85,000–$110,000 annually

Overview

Avento Health is recruiting a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time opportunity with a nonprofit developmental disabilities services organization in the Rogers Park / Chicago area.

This position is specifically for a currently certified BCBA with experience developing behavior support plans, conducting behavioral assessments, supporting direct care teams, and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential or community-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and oversee individualized behavior support programs and related clinical documentation.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and other behavioral assessments as appropriate.
• Develop and revise behavior support and intervention plans based on assessment findings, individual needs, and interdisciplinary team input.
• Monitor behavioral data and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Complete required clinical documentation, progress notes, risk assessments, and reports.
• Provide behavioral consultation and clinical guidance consistent with BCBA professional standards.
• Train, coach, and support direct care staff on behavior intervention strategies and individualized behavior plans.
• Monitor implementation of behavior plans and provide retraining or modifications when needed.
• Collaborate with guardians, internal clinical teams, outside providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in meetings related to behavioral services and individual treatment planning.
• Respond to phone-based on-call needs as required.
• Provide services in residential homes, community settings, and other client environments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the BACB.
• Experience developing and writing behavior support or behavior intervention plans.
• Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing evidence-based behavioral interventions.
• Experience analyzing behavioral data and evaluating treatment effectiveness.
• Experience training or supporting direct care staff in implementing behavioral interventions.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community-based work.
• Willingness and ability to complete Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment if not already enrolled.
