The Consumer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting consumers with inquiries, resolving complaints, processing requests, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, chat, or in person.
Provide accurate information about products, services, policies, and procedures.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and efficiently.
Process orders, payments, refunds, returns, or service requests as needed.
Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records.
Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
Escalate complex issues to supervisors or appropriate departments.
Meet established customer service, quality, and productivity goals.
Protect customer information and follow company privacy and security procedures.
Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve customer issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
Previous customer service or consumer support experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable using computers, email, CRM systems, and other office software.
Ability to remain professional and patient when handling difficult customers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
