Position Overview

A confidential public-sector technology program is seeking two experienced Lead Integration Developers to support the design, development and maintenance of applications that integrate with multiple enterprise systems.

The primary focus will be analyzing existing mainframe interfaces and integrations—including batch processes, file transfers and message queues—and redesigning them as modern .NET/C# integration solutions.

The applications support critical health and human-services programs, including Medicaid, SNAP, public assistance and child-support services. The successful candidates must be capable of developing secure, scalable and reliable integrations in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing mainframe interfaces, batch processes, file transfers and message-queue integrations.
• Design and develop modern integration solutions using .NET and C#.
• Design, develop, test and deploy RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Develop asynchronous, batch and real-time integration processes.
• Integrate applications using APIs, managed file transfers, message queues and enterprise integration platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, testers, business analysts and product managers.
• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve performance, security and data-quality issues.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal technology standards.
• Develop unit tests and support code-quality reviews.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, planning sessions and technical reviews.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications

Candidates must clearly demonstrate all the following experience in their resumes:

• More than seven years of experience working on complex technology projects.
• At least two years of experience serving in a developer leadership role.
• More than seven years of experience designing and developing API, batch and asynchronous integration applications involving complex business logic.
• More than seven years of experience developing, troubleshooting and optimizing APIs, asynchronous integrations and batch processes.
• Strong working knowledge of mainframe integration patterns, including batch, file-based and message-queue integrations.
• Demonstrated experience redesigning or converting mainframe integrations into .NET-based solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Seven or more years of experience with .NET and C# integration development.
• Seven or more years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture.
• Experience developing secure web services and RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Four or more years of message-queue or Enterprise Service Bus experience; IBM MQ is preferred.
• Seven or more years of experience with Entity Framework.
• Seven or more years of experience using unit-testing frameworks; xUnit or NUnit is preferred.
• Five or more years of experience with Git or another distributed version-control system.
• Two or more years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows.
• Two or more years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Two or more years of federal or state government technology experience.
• Experience supporting health and human-services or integrated-eligibility programs, including Medicaid, public assistance, temporary assistance, SNAP, HEAP, fair hearings or child support.
