Inventory Specialist – Day Shift

Location: Robbinsdale, MN
Schedule: Day Shift
Employment Type: Temporary
The Inventory Specialist supports daily healthcare operations by counting, picking, replenishing, and distributing medical supplies throughout nursing supply and PAR areas. This role may also assist with delivering medical equipment and furniture to patient care areas and ancillary departments.
Key Responsibilities- Verify, requisition, and replenish PAR inventory to maintain appropriate supply levels.
- Pick and distribute low-unit-of-measure medical and surgical supplies based on priority.
- Prepare chargeable supplies for dispensing and distribution.
- Identify instruments, trays, and supplies requiring restocking.
- Process verbal, phone, electronic system, and handheld terminal requests.
- Maintain clean, organized PAR areas according to established bin locations.
- Prepare mobile medical equipment for use during relief shifts.
- Inspect package integrity and remove or replace damaged and expired items.
- Receive stock and non-stock items and report any discrepancies.
- Perform inventory cycle counts as requested.
- Monitor expiration dates and rotate products to prevent supplies from expiring.
- Assist with distributing equipment and furniture to patient care and ancillary departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
- Experience with inventory, stocking, warehouse, distribution, materials management, or a related function is preferred.
- Healthcare or medical-supply experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to accurately count, organize, and track inventory.
- Comfortable using electronic inventory systems and handheld devices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize requests and work efficiently in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and transport supplies or equipment throughout the shift.
