Customer Service Specialist

Sporting Goods Company is looking for a customer service specialist to work in there National accounts department:

Location: Carlsbad, California
Pay: $26.90 per hour
Position Type: Long-Term Seasonal Assignment

Overview

A hole-in-one opportunity for a customer service professional with a passion for golf!

We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented National Accounts Customer Service Representative to serve as an ambassador for the organization. This position will create a positive experience for customers, guests, vendors, callers, and employees while supporting national account orders and replenishment activities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, customer service experience, strong administrative skills, and knowledge of golf equipment and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers, guests, vendors, callers, and employees.
• Create a positive first and lasting impression of the organization, both by phone and in person.
• Accurately enter and process orders for national accounts.
• Manage all aspects of the golf club ordering and replenishment process.
• Complete order entry, SKU setup, and EDI order processing.
• Monitor requested ship dates, product availability, and order status.
• Maintain account pricing and price files.
• Communicate order information, product availability, and shipping updates to customers.
• Research and resolve order discrepancies, pricing issues, and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure orders are processed and delivered successfully.
• Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Knowledge of golf clubs, equipment, and terminology required
• Previous customer service experience required
• Experience with order entry, account management, EDI orders, or sales support preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
