Job Description

Part-Time/Seasonal W-2 | In Person | Nashville, Tennessee

William W. Professional Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver workplace-compliance and professional-readiness instruction to youth interns participating in a public-sector workforce-development program.

The trainer will primarily provide age-appropriate sexual-harassment awareness and prevention training. Additional approved topics may include workplace conduct, employee rights and responsibilities, professional boundaries, reporting procedures, retaliation protections, timekeeping, wage-and-hour fundamentals, youth-employment requirements and professional behavior.

This is an in-person position in Nashville. It is not a remote opportunity. Training sessions may be scheduled during regular business hours, weekday evenings or Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate sexual-harassment awareness and prevention training.
  • Explain prohibited workplace conduct, professional boundaries, reporting procedures and protection against retaliation.
  • Teach workplace rights and responsibilities, professional behavior, timekeeping and wage-and-hour fundamentals.
  • Explain youth-employment requirements using clear, practical and age-appropriate language.
  • Use realistic scenarios, group discussions, activities and knowledge checks.
  • Adapt training methods for youth participants from diverse backgrounds and learning levels.
  • Prepare presentation slides, lesson plans, participant handouts and assessments.
  • Participate in group onboarding and new-hire sessions when requested.
  • Maintain attendance rosters, signed acknowledgements and training-completion records.
  • Monitor completion requirements and conduct refresher or make-up sessions when necessary.
  • Coordinate training schedules and materials with WWPS and designated program representatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate professional judgment when working with youth.
  • Report significant safety, conduct or compliance concerns through authorized WWPS reporting channels.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, workforce development, business administration, public administration, law, social services or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and substantial directly relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least three years of experience delivering live group training in workplace compliance, human resources, employee conduct, workforce readiness, education or youth development.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with youth or young adults in a training, education, internship, mentoring or workforce-development setting.
  • Working knowledge of sexual-harassment prevention, workplace conduct, reporting procedures and retaliation protections.
  • Ability to explain sensitive workplace requirements clearly and appropriately to youth participants.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, classroom-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience preparing or adapting slides, lesson plans, handouts and participant assessments.
  • Ability to maintain accurate attendance records, signed acknowledgements and training-completion documentation.
  • Current ability to conduct in-person assignments in Nashville.
  • Availability for occasional weekday evenings and Saturdays.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with summer youth employment, internship or public workforce-development programs.
  • Experience delivering sexual-harassment prevention, Title IX, workplace-conduct or employment-compliance training.
  • Familiarity with the Fair Labor Standards Act and federal or Tennessee youth-employment requirements.
  • Experience delivering training for a government agency, educational institution or publicly funded program.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, certified trainer credential, teaching credential, Title IX training, human-resources certification or comparable professional credential.
  • Experience developing original training materials, interactive scenarios and knowledge assessments.

Professional certification is preferred but not required. Certification will not substitute for relevant training, facilitation and youth-development experience.

Candidate Evaluation Process

Selected candidates may be required to:

  • Participate in an initial telephone or video interview.
  • Provide professional references.
  • Submit a sample lesson plan or training outline.
  • Conduct a brief teaching demonstration using a youth-appropriate workplace scenario.
  • Complete a pre-employment background check.
  • Verify applicable education, training credentials and employment history.
