We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant. The candidate will utilize administrative skills to assist our Human Resources Director, Management, and other staff to provide day-to-day services to maintain the overall functionality of the office. We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and operational support across HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management. RLG is seeking an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Ideal candidates are experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Extremely organized, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Reese Law Group is seeking a Human Resources Assistant whose key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with recruitment: posting job ads, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, and supporting reference checks.
- Processing new hire paperwork, I‐9 verification, and assist with benefits enrollment.
- Coordinating onboarding and new‐employee orientation sessions.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Tracking attendance, PTO leaves, and probationary/performance review timelines.
- Preparing HR documents such as reports, letters, forms, and spreadsheets.
- Supporting benefits administration and workers’ compensation processes.
- Assisting with employee satisfaction surveys and morale‐boosting programs.
· Utilizes ADP and performs payroll, as needed.
· Assist with HR projects and initiatives including open enrollment preparation, compliance with training tracking, and policy update communications.
· Prepare HR reports and compile data from the HRIS or HR Director review and leadership reporting.
· Regularly updates office website and online presence.
- Plans all in-house or off-site activities of the organization.
- Counseling any employees struggling in their roles with supervisor and HR Director.
- Renew, update and maintain company liability insurance, in accordance with compliance necessities.
- Creating an office budget and ensuring all employees follow it.
- As needed, maintaining office and kitchen supply inventory and coordinating facility-related needs with vendors and the building landlord.
- Organizing maintenance companies to keep the office clean and safe and ensure its appliances are in good working order.
- Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions and handle vendor contracts, among other tasks.
- Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks.

- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive, employee and company related information.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred; degree in business administration, communications, or a related field preferred.
· Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
· 1+ year of administrative or HR experience (entry‐level acceptable).
· Knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and records management.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer‐service skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
· Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and confidentiality.
· Experience in a small law firm, preferred.
· Ability to utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other computer software programs in an efficient manner, and to search for help in the use of such programs independently via the internet.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
Must be able to work in a seated or standing position, for periods up to and exceeding 8.0 hours per day.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Must be able to bend, twist, and maneuver physically as needed to install, repair, and/or maintain office equipment.
Extensive use of a mouse and keyboard, and calculator.
Extended viewing of a computer screen.
Extensive use of a telephone.
Scheduling Requirements
Must be able to work a normal M-F schedule, on site, weekends as needed.
