CNC Machinist | 1st Shift | $28–$32+/Hour | 4-Day Workweek | Tolland, CT
Four-day workweek. First shift. $28–$32+/hour. Precision machining work without giving up your weekends.
If you’re an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a better work schedule without sacrificing pay or the quality of the work you do, this could be the opportunity for you.
Join a growing manufacturing team in Tolland, CT where you’ll work with precision CNC equipment, machine components to tight tolerances, and play an important role in producing quality parts. You’ll work Monday through Thursday on 10-hour shifts, giving you every Friday through Sunday off when overtime isn’t needed.
And if you want to earn extra, Friday overtime is available as needed.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $28–$32+/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday
- Shift: 1st shift, 4x10-hour schedule
- Overtime: Fridays available as needed
- Location: Tolland, CT

What You’ll Do
As a CNC Machinist, you’ll set up and operate CNC equipment to produce precision components that meet demanding specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
- Machining precision components to print specifications
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Applying GD&T principles to meet part requirements
- Performing inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
- Making machine adjustments to maintain part quality and tolerances
- Troubleshooting machining and equipment issues
- Maintaining quality standards throughout the machining process
- Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized
What You Bring
We’re looking for an experienced machinist who understands precision, knows how to read a print, and takes pride in producing quality parts.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of CNC setup and operation experience preferred
- Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Knowledge of GD&T principles
- Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances, including ±.0005"
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
