Position Overview
- Role: Site Inventory/Supply Chain Associate
- Customer: Oak Ridge National Labs
- Location: Oak Ridge, TN (Full-time, Onsite — Local candidates only)
- Duration: 12 months (Note: Client reserves the right to hire the candidate permanently after 90 days)
Key Responsibilities
General Supply Chain & Inventory Duties
- Inventory Control & Reporting: Perform regular counts, manage cycle counts, and ensure all inventory is accurately accounted for and reported per company policy.
- Discrepancy & Claims Management: Investigate and correct inventory quantity/location discrepancies, log claims for inaccurate shipments, and file claims for defective products.
- Order & Logistics Management: Monitor delivery schedules and customer orders, place/receive orders accurately, and coordinate closely with customer service and logistics teams.
- Asset Tracking: Track serial numbers for swapped equipment/components in asset management tools and assess daily, weekly, and monthly inventory output to spot productivity trends.
- Storage & Compliance: Maintain local secure storage facilities, check date-sensitive products for expiration, and build trusted relationships with suppliers.
Job-Specific Responsibilities
- Reporting: Deliver comprehensive weekly reports detailing on-hand, consumed, and defective materials.
- Material Segregation: Strictly maintain segregation between HPE and non-HPE materials.
- System Proficiency: Master and utilize specialized HPE Pointnext Supply Chain tools, including Konnect, SFDC, SharePoint, and SmartStores.
- Case Management: Open and manage "cases" to ensure proper material ordering and workflow execution.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in supply chain roles, managing high-volume rotations and multiple parts in a high-demand environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to leverage a developed professional network for rapid issue resolution (willingness to train on specific skills provided).
- Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent written/verbal communication, and high initiative paired with the ability to work independently.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with administrative/clerical software and inventory management systems.
