General Definition:
The Desktop Analyst provides daily end-user support and demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot Microsoft OS’s, Microsoft office, and hardware/software. A strong technical knowledge of hardware and general understanding of system networking is essential to this position. The highest duty of this position is to provide timely and effective service to the Tribe, Tribal entities, and the Tribal citizens.

Essential Job Functions:
· Ensures the quality of operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department by responding in a timely fashion to end-user needs, and concerns relating to computer systems and applications
· Orients technical resources working onsite providing effective and timely resolution to IT needs of staff
· First line support for all Tribal installed hardware, systems, printers, copiers, and faxes
· Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems, problem escalation, and solution tracking
· Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions of implementation, configuration, compliance, and quality control
· Assist in day-to-day maintenance of all network hardware and equipment, security solutions, and intrusion detection systems
· Maintains the integrity and continual operation of the IT network
· Maintains the security and privacy of Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma (ESTOO) information systems, communication lines, and equipment
· Install copper and/or fiber networking for new and existing construction projects
· Ensure systems and applications are patched and updated in a timely manner
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Associate’s degree in computer science, or four (4) years proven experience required
· Experience working in a tribal setting preferred
· Preferred: Experience in MS-SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Internet Information Server (IIS), VMWare, Veeam B&R, Microsoft Windows configuration, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of network hardware, server technology, and internet/intranet

· Excels in retaining and recalling information
· Able to remain calm and professional when under pressure
· Able to handle highly sensitive information in such a way as to ensure confidentiality. If confidential information is shared, it is grounds for immediate termination
· Demonstrates strong organization and prioritization skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct
· Displayed ability to lead and contribute in a team environment
· Ability to work in a hectic, fast-paced environment and handle deadlines and frequent interruptions
· Able to work independently and with minimal instruction
· Respect for all Tribal citizens, Tribal Officials, Supervisors, and Co-Workers
· Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution; able to remain calm and professional when under pressure
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
· Current/valid driver’s license
· Must be able to pass a background check and receive/maintain a license or permit from the Eastern Shawnee Tribe Gaming Commission
· Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result
· Must have favorable verifiable work history and references
Native American preference policy is as follows:
Legally enrolled Eastern Shawnee Tribal members shall be given preference if the tribal member’s experience, qualifications, training, and all other criteria including the job posting are equal. Tribal Members or Citizens of other federally recognized Tribes shall have second preference following the same criteria, followed by any other applicants. (Resolution # 021011-R-03) Only Certified Degree of Indian Blood cards will be accepted as verification of Native American Heritage for other tribes.
