Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector in Gardena, CA.  

As Quality Inspector, you will:

• Interpret engineering drawings, inspection procedures, work orders, and setup instructions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of production parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and completed systems.
• Use a variety of hand tools, including Screwdrivers, Wrenches and Pliers.
• Use measuring and inspection equipment.
• Perform measurements and mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up surface plates, tables, and other inspection equipment as required.
• Inspect parts for quality, cleanliness, workmanship, gauge, hardness, and close-tolerance dimensions.
• Identify dimensional deviations and determine whether parts meet specifications.
• Approve acceptable parts and reject non-conforming parts.
• Verify when rework or re-operation is required.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, paperwork, and documentation.
• Issue, control, and perform minor repairs to inspection stamps.
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspected parts.
• Assist with inventory control and maintain accurate records of materials and parts.
• Communicate quality issues and discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Follow established safety, quality, and inspection procedures.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity!

Schedule: Monday - Friday -10:45 pm to 5:15am with flexability to work overtime and weekends - The shift pays 8 hours.  

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Familiarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, or tape measures.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and inspection instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform dimensional calculations.
• Ability to document inspection results accurately.
• Previous Quality Control or Quality Inspector experience.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience inspecting close-tolerance parts.
• Experience with inventory control or maintaining inventory records.
• Aerospace, machining, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with non-conforming material, rework, and inspection documentation.

 

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
