Job Description
This role supports warehouse and production operations by accurately picking, packing, and staging materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and safely transporting materials between the warehouse and production floor. You will help ensure on-time shipments, support assembly teams with required components, and contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment during a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities- Pick, pack, and stage materials and components for production and customer orders with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare shipments according to work orders and delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Verify accuracy of orders, including quantities and part numbers, before shipping or staging.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials in the appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in materials or shipments promptly.
- Transport materials safely between the warehouse and production floor using appropriate equipment.
- Supply parts and components to assembly teams as needed to support continuous production.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible way.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and production areas.
- Dispose of packaging materials properly and support recycling initiatives.
- Assist with assembly, packaging, or light production work when required.
- Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and work instructions consistently.
- Warehouse or material handling experience, with at least 1 year preferred in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills to support inventory, shipping, and documentation tasks.
- Basic math skills to verify counts, quantities, and measurements.
- Experience with material handling activities such as picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, safely.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders, inventory, and documentation.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a consistent and dependable work performance.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse and production staff.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory systems or RF scanners is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role is preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse and production setting.
- Ability to support light assembly, packaging, or production tasks when needed.

You will work with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and may use basic computer systems and, where applicable, inventory systems or RF scanners. The environment is fast-paced and focused on safety, organization, and cleanliness, with expectations to maintain an orderly workspace and follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naugatuck, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
