Job Title: Electronics Assembler

M - F 6:30am - 3pm $19 - $20

This role performs precision electronic and mechanical assembly at a bench or workstation using basic hand tools and standard procedures. You will build small-part sub-assemblies and complete instruments, perform soldering and rework, and use measuring devices and test equipment to verify quality. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, and active participation in process improvement within a collaborative, team-oriented production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations at a workstation or bench using basic hand tools to build small-part sub-assemblies and complete instruments from start to finish.
  • Perform hand soldering on standard assemblies, including work under microscopes when required.
  • Perform rework and repairs on standard assemblies in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform calibrations and variable testing, using judgment to ensure all products conform to specifications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs, working with more experienced team members when needed.
  • Perform standard and non-standard setups, exercising judgment in adjusting and documenting changes to processes or configurations.
  • Verify part and assembly quality using measuring devices, test equipment, and visual inspection to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Use a keyboard and computer terminal to enter data into SAP screens or other systems as required, including recording production and quality information.

Essential Skills

  • 6 months to 1+ years of experience in small-part assembly and soldering.
  • Experience using hand tools and electric tools for assembly and rework.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate small objects and components with precision and care.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to check reports and accurately enter and record information in systems such as SAP.
  • Experience with electronic assembly, including interpreting blueprints or assembly drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies with guidance.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for fine, detailed assembly or soldering tasks.

Work Environment

You will work in a close-knit, team-oriented setting with departmental leads who report to direct supervisors, fostering strong communication and collaboration. The workspace consists primarily of bench or workstation assembly using hand tools, microscopes, measuring devices, and test equipment, supported by computer terminals for SAP and other system use. The overall environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork while supporting precision electronic assembly work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shoreview, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
