Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute V&V Protocols: Run complex Verification & Validation (V&V) protocols, focusing on functional, reliability, and system-level performance testing.
- Fixture & Rig Setup: Assemble, configure, and align specialized test fixtures, mechanical rigs, and test samples using standard laboratory and hand tools.
- Data Integrity & QMS: Accurately record, track, and report performance data in strict alignment with our Quality Management System (QMS) frameworks.
- Root-Cause Analysis: Support engineering investigations by documenting unexpected test anomalies and contributing directly to root-cause failure analysis.
- R&D Collaboration: Partner closely with R&D teams during early prototype builds and engineering studies to evaluate hardware functionality.
- Process Improvement: Review, refine, and provide feedback to update internal test procedures, laboratory methods, and standard operating instructions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and internal corporate quality systems.
- Industry Experience: Proven hands-on testing, validation, QA lab, or engineering support experience in a regulated medical device environment (such as robotics, surgical devices, diagnostics, or complex electromechanical hardware).
- Environment Adaptability: Demonstrated comfort working within dynamic R&D labs, cleanroom environments, and engineering verification spaces.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong practical, electromechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting automated test setups, rigs, or custom fixtures.
- Education & Background: Associate’s degree, technical/polytechnic certification, or equivalent military/industrial laboratory experience is preferred. We highly value practical, active laboratory skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the capability to clearly articulate structural test failures, setup anomalies, and documentation trails.
- Professional Drive: A proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong desire to learn new hardware architectures and laboratory workflows.
