Paul House & Health Care Center – Chicago, IL
Paul House & Health Care Center is seeking dependable and service-oriented Dietary Aides to join our Dietary Department. Dietary Aides play an important role in supporting meal service and ensuring residents receive meals accurately, safely, and in accordance with their individual dietary needs.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in providing quality service to residents.

Meaningful work supporting residents and their daily needs
Assist with preparing and setting up resident meals and meal trays
Assemble meal trays accurately according to resident diet orders and meal tickets
Serve meals and beverages to residents as assigned
Assist with delivering and retrieving meal trays
Follow instructions regarding prescribed diets, food consistencies, allergies, and other dietary requirements
Assist with basic food preparation as directed
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dining, and food service areas
Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and other dietary equipment
Assist with stocking and organizing food and dietary supplies
Follow proper food storage, labeling, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
Follow infection-control and food-safety practices
Communicate resident dietary concerns or requests to the appropriate staff member
Provide courteous and respectful service to residents
Follow facility and Dietary Department policies and procedures
Perform additional dietary duties as assigned
Previous dietary, food service, healthcare, or long-term care experience preferred
Ability to follow dietary instructions and established food-service procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Dependable, professional, and attentive to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with food service
Must meet applicable health and background requirements
Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available
Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on department needs
