8 HOUR SHIFT: Daylight

What will you do as a Registered Nurse unit Manager (RN)

• Directs both licensed nurses (RNs/LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring proper documentation of ADLs (activities of daily living).

• Interact and communicate with the family members of our residents in a patient and professional manner.

• Attend Facilitates weekly care plan conferences with resident families, social work, therapy (PT/OT/ST), and dietary teams.

• Functions as the primary clinical point of contact for resident families during status changes, hospital transfers, or care goals updates

• Oversees rounds with attending physicians and Nurse Practitioners, ensuring orders, labs, and specialty referrals are signed and executed promptly.

What you need as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Must be fully licensed through the state as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in RN work

DAY IN THE LIFE AS A REGISTERED NURSE / RN UNIT MANAGER

As a Registered Nurse / RN Unit Manager at our elder care facility, you participate in the care planning process, updating care plans as needed through daily rounds. You are passionate about infection control and ensuring that our employees understand the importance of compliance with proper procedures and protocols for the health and safety of our elderly residents. You teach, mentor, and inspire each member to give their best and continue to develop professionally. You evaluate the performance of our CNAs, LPNs, and RNs and the daily staffing needs and assignments. You would also be responsible for implementing and monitoring policies, and reviewing daily progress notes to make recommendations.

Your creativity comes into play as you plan and carry out orientations, educational opportunities, and in-service events for the benefit of our entire nursing staff which in-turn benefits the residents of our senior care community. Your love for senior care is evident in all you do. You enjoy your job, and your positive attitude filters down to our staff, as well as our patients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Licensed as an RN

• A love for people, especially the elderly

• A heart for teaching
