Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)This position is accountable for providing expertise and direction in the area of maintenance. This position will work with the EPCM Team and contractors to ensure the project facilities are properly maintained and there is a proper tracking system to support these activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFunctional ResponsibilitiesProvide the Mechanical Leaders with clerical and technical support for all equipment on the projectDevelop, implement, and continually update the Maintenance Program. Facilitate and monitor the Maintenance work order systemEnsure that a Maintenance Plan is in place for all equipment on the project. Ensure all OEM and best practice approaches are met and / or exceededTrack performance expectations and report on as required for all equipment maintenance with appropriate identified management metricsAudit and assist the contractor in their Maintenance ProgramsDefine, communicate, and monitor key maintenance processesOther duties as assigned Client FocusProvide professional and courteous interaction with all stakeholdersEnsure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner Supervisory ResponsibilitiesEnsures that the crew members know and understand safety and operating procedures and meet these standards at all timesEnsure that equipment and manpower are used optimally in their area of responsibility with the objectives of production, safety, health, and cost effectiveness considered HEALTH & SAFETYWork in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for CementationIncorporate Health and Safety considerations in all functions and daily activities of the positionMonitor work environment for health and safety hazards or infractions and reports the same to Health and Safety DepartmentKeep work area clean and free of clutterUse proper equipment for the job, i.e. stepladder vs. chair QUALIFICATIONS Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredAt least 7 years of trades and maintenance planning Certificate(s), License(s), Registration(s)MSHA Underground Certification requiredTrade Certificate preferred Skills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesStrategic leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentialityComputer skillsTechnical and practical backgroundDecision making and prioritization skills Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong planning and organizing skills Possess problem solving, critical thinking skillsGeneral knowledge of applicable mining regulations, safety codes and acts Cementation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
