Paint SupportPrimary Purpose:Assists in the production of powder-coated components for the assembly of finished goods. Job Description:Unboxes components from storage containersLoads and unloads parts or product onto fixturesAssists the Painter, as needed, in the operation of blasting and coating equipmentPerforms visual inspections to ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and productivityPerforms cleaning and maintenance services to paint equipment/booth according to recommended specificationsSafely operates paint equipment, hand tools and measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipersAssists in other areas of operation, as needed, to provide support during absences or shortages of staffQualifications:Physical strength and staminaStrong attention to detailSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyMechanical and technical skills; adept in the use of hand tools and paint equipmentSafety management mindset and a focus on quality controlAbility to follow instructions; work with and relate to diverse groupsAble to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalismEducation/Certification: High school diploma or GED preferred1 year of Powder coating experience desired but not requiredPrevious work experience in a production environment a plusBi-lingual Spanish a plusOther Duties as Assigned:Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.Working Conditions: Position requires extensive walking, standing and/or climbing; lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to move or transfer products with an overhead crane and lift up to 50 lbs. Work will be performed around machinery with moving parts, moving objects or vehicles; exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces.
