About the Role:
New York Bagel & Bialy Corporation is looking for an energetic and friendly Customer Service/Sandwich Maker to join our team in Lincolnwood, IL! If you love great food, fast-paced environments, and making customers smile, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the counter
- Take and process customer orders accurately, both in-person and over the phone
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items to order
- Slice, toast, and assemble ingredients following menu specifications and food safety standards
- Handle cash register transactions and process payments efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout the shift
- Restock food prep stations and supplies as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure fast, quality service during peak hours
- $17.00 per hour plus tips (negotiable based on experience)
Requirements:
- Previous customer service or food service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Basic food handling knowledge; food handler certification a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
