Aspen Careers is partnering with a respected and expanding estate planning and elder law firm to identify an Associate Attorney serving the Athens, Ohio / West Virginia market. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to build a meaningful practice helping individuals and families plan for their futures.
The firm is open to attorneys currently licensed in Ohio who are willing to obtain their West Virginia license, with support from the firm throughout that process.
Job Title: Associate Attorney
Location: Athens, OH – Primarily in-person with the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays when no client meetings are scheduled.
Initial training may take place in the firm's St. Clairsville, Dublin, and/or Lancaster, Ohio offices.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Licensed to practice law in Ohio, with the willingness to obtain a West Virginia law license. The firm will assist with the process.
- Attorneys already licensed in both Ohio and West Virginia are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Has approximately 1–5 years of attorney experience.
- Estate Planning experience is preferred, but attorneys with backgrounds in Family Law, Personal Injury, Probate, Criminal Defense, or other client-facing practice areas are encouraged to apply.
- Enjoys meeting with clients, building trust, and guiding individuals through important legal and financial decisions.
- Comfortable explaining legal services and helping prospective clients determine the appropriate path forward.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Motivated to learn and grow within a specialized estate planning and elder law practice.
