Lab Technician
Reno, NV | $25/hour+ DOE | Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly detail-oriented Lab Technician to support precision manufacturing and quality operations within a regulated medical-device environment.
This position plays an important role in product quality and final product release. The Lab Technician will inspect, clean, code, coat, and perform final quality checks on precision glass components while following established manufacturing procedures and ISO 13485 quality requirements.

What You'll Do
Inspect precision glass components to ensure they meet established quality requirements.
Clean and prepare glass components according to defined procedures and quality criteria.
Perform specialized coating processes following approved protocols.
Complete glass coding and final quality-control activities.
Perform detailed visual inspections and identify potential defects or nonconformances.
Follow established work instructions and manufacturing procedures accurately and consistently.
Maintain complete and accurate manufacturing and quality documentation.
Operate specialized equipment and tooling after completing required training.
Support Engineering and Quality with process improvements and quality initiatives.
Assist with process verification and validation activities.
Work directly with engineers and supervisors to execute production and quality requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and communicate recommendations to management.
Support implementation of approved process improvements.
Follow ISO 13485 Quality Management System requirements and applicable company procedures.
Use Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and production-related activities.
Maintain a clean, controlled, and quality-focused work environment.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is a plus.
Approximately 3+ years of related experience in manufacturing, production, laboratory operations, quality, or a similar environment.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Comfortable working with small, precision components.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols consistently.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Dependable, punctual, focused, and accountable.
Ability to work independently while following established processes and supervisory direction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify problems and contribute thoughtful process-improvement ideas.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is especially valuable:
Medical-device manufacturing
ISO 13485 or other regulated environments
Quality inspection or quality control
Laboratory operations
Precision manufacturing
Glass inspection, cleaning, or coating
Process verification and validation
Medical Technologist or Phlebotomy certification
ISO-related training
Physical & Work Environment
This position works primarily within a clean manufacturing environment and requires close attention to detail while handling small components.
Candidates must be comfortable standing for approximately eight hours per day, performing repetitive precision tasks, and using specialized gripping mechanisms, equipment, and tooling.
Occasional lifting of approximately 40 pounds or more may be required.
