Absaroka Senior Living Center is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team.
As a CNA, you will provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living while helping residents maintain the highest possible level of independence, comfort, and dignity. You will work closely with RNs, LPNs, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure each resident receives individualized, high-quality care based on their needs and plan of care.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with residents, working as part of a healthcare team, and knowing that their work has a meaningful impact every day.
Key ResponsibilitiesResident Care & Activities of Daily LivingAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and personal hygiene
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, positioning, and repositioning according to individualized care plans
Provide feeding assistance and support residents during meals as needed
Promote resident independence by encouraging residents to participate in their care to the fullest extent possible
Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance
Help maintain resident comfort, cleanliness, dignity, and safety throughout the shift
Provide compassionate care while respecting each resident's individual preferences, routines, and choices
Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and other assigned measurements
Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, cognition, mood, appetite, mobility, skin condition, or overall well-being
Promptly report changes or concerns to the supervising licensed nurse
Communicate resident needs and concerns clearly with nursing staff and other members of the care team
Participate in shift communication and resident-care updates as appropriate
Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
Accurately document resident care and services provided
Follow individualized resident care plans and assigned nursing instructions
Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes
Report any inability to complete assigned care or identified changes in resident needs to the supervising nurse
Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with facility policies and applicable requirements
Follow established infection prevention and control practices, including appropriate hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment
Follow appropriate transfer, mobility, fall-prevention, and resident-safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe resident environment
Properly use facility equipment and mechanical lifting devices according to training and established procedures
Immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, hazards, or resident safety concerns
Follow emergency procedures and assist appropriately during emergency situations
Treat every resident with dignity, compassion, patience, and respect
Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
Support resident choice, independence, preferences, and personal routines
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Promote an environment free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, and inappropriate treatment
Immediately report concerns regarding resident safety, rights, abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with facility policy
Help create a welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for
Work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, fellow CNAs, therapy, dietary, activities, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members
Arrive prepared and ready to provide resident care for assigned shifts
Maintain dependable attendance and communicate appropriately regarding scheduling concerns
Participate in required training, education, competencies, and facility meetings
Accept coaching and feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow
Assist coworkers when appropriate to support resident care and overall facility operations
Perform additional resident-care responsibilities within the CNA's authorized role as assigned
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Wyoming and in good standing
Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care to seniors and individuals requiring skilled nursing services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented approach
Ability to follow resident care plans and nursing instructions
Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Commitment to resident rights, safety, confidentiality, and person-centered care
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, or healthcare experience is preferred, but we welcome qualified CNAs who are beginning their careers and are eager to learn.
