Radiology Technologist – Multimodality, travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date: September 28, 2026 for a 13-week assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,722 to $2,873 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 3x12-hour days, typically 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with imaging duties across multiple modalities as part of a busy radiology department.

Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment across at least three modalities (x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography) in accordance with orders and departmental standards.
- Perform radiographic, fluoroscopic and cross-modality examinations with attention to image quality, patient safety, and radiation safety principles.
- Assist in achieving department objectives and maintain a cooperative, patient-centered imaging environment.
- Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs; operate mobile imaging as needed.
- Safely prepare and administer contrast agents as required; monitor patients during procedures.
- Inspect and test essential safety equipment (defibrillator and crash cart); ensure readiness for emergencies and participate in routine maintenance of imaging hardware.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and utilize enterprise systems (such as EPIC) for order verification and results reporting when required.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice (California) required; ARRT certification required; CPR/BLS from an approved vendor required.
- Modality credentials: Must hold current certification in at least one imaging modality and be able to perform duties in at least one additional advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or PET). Acceptable credentials include ARRT-CT, ARRT-M, ARRT-MRI, ARRT-NMT, ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, CCI-RCS, RTPET, ARRT-R, ARMRIT, SNMT, RDMS, or similar recognized certifications.
- Experience: Three years’ technical radiology experience preferred; at least two years of recent field experience noted in job notes; EPIC experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging department and perform duties across multiple modalities; strong patient communication and precise image acquisition techniques.
