Wage & Hour Litigation Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-to-senior level Wage & Hour Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join a rapidly growing national law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced wage and hour litigator to take on significant client-facing work immediately. Non-partner-track candidates will also be considered.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience litigating wage and hour class and collective actions, particularly claims arising under the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Candidates should be comfortable handling sophisticated litigation matters independently and managing cases through all stages of litigation.

Responsibilities
  • Litigate wage and hour class and collective actions under the Colorado Wage Act and FLSA.
  • Interpret and apply Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division regulations, rules, and interpretive guidance.
  • Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery.
  • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, including motions to decertify conditional classes.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Develop litigation strategies and manage matters through all phases of litigation.
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide practical legal guidance.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across the firm.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of wage and hour litigation experience.
  • Extensive experience with wage and hour class and/or collective actions.
  • Experience litigating matters under the Colorado Wage Act and FLSA strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Colorado and federal wage and hour regulations and guidance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong client-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters independently and collaboratively.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $195,000–$230,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
