Position Overview 

Join a highly respected inpatient hematology and oncology program providing specialized care for patients with complex benign and malignant hematologic disorders and medical oncology diagnoses. This weekday-only assignment offers outstanding work-life balance with no call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage, allowing providers to focus exclusively on inpatient patient care within a collaborative physician-led team.

Providers interested in long-term opportunities may also be considered for a locums-to-permanent position.

Compensation: $120/hour

Pay Ranking: Top 30–35% among comparable Midwest Hematology/Oncology APP locum assignments

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inpatient rounds
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematology and oncology patients
  • Care for patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders
  • Collaborate with hematologists and medical oncologists on treatment plans
  • Manage admissions, follow-up care, and discharges
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary inpatient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
  • Complete timely documentation using Epic EMR
