JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or AOA)
  
• Licenses: Active unrestricted TN Medical license and DEA with TN address (Schedules 2‑5)
  
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address required
  
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM); NRP (for non‑ABEM providers)
  
• Experience: Residency training in Emergency Medicine required; new graduates within 12 months accepted
  
• Other Qualifications: Preeclampsia‑Eclampsia CME required initially and every 2 years; case logs for past 2 years; documentation for special procedures; must supervise NPs and PAs
  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED.
  
• Supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
  
• Perform procedures as required (e.g., suturing, intubation, central line placement).
  
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR.
  
• Coordinate with specialists and ancillary staff for patient management and discharges.
