Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist in Charge to oversee the operations of our privately owned, independent retail pharmacy. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Manage daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  •  Provide expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy, side effects, and drug interactions.
  •  Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy practice.
  •  Dispense medications by compounding, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  •  Conduct regular audits to maintain quality assurance and improve pharmacy services.
  •  Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.
  •  Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication management.
  •  Train and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure high standards of practice and customer service.
  •  Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and pharmacy transactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Schedule: 

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • No Weekends

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's Degree Required; Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree preferred
  •  Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  •  Compounding experience required.  
  • Sterile Compounding experience preferred.
  •  Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting required.
  •  Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and pharmacy law.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  •  Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and customer service.
