Position Summary:
Schmolck Mechanical Contractors is seeking a dependable and organized Office Administrator / Receptionist for our Juneau office. This position plays a key role in supporting our service and construction operations by assisting customers, coordinating technician dispatches, ordering materials, and managing daily office activities.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians.
- Order parts and materials from vendors.
- Receive and track incoming freight shipments.
- Greet customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Maintain office files and records.
- Perform data entry and administrative support tasks.
- Assist project managers and field staff with documentation and communications.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries and order status.
- Support daily operations to ensure efficient workflow within the office.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, heating, construction, dispatching, or material procurement is a plus.
